Friday night was the review. We got into Whitehouse about 5:45 or so, got the kids dressed and made it to the high school auditorium by 6:45. I was so proud of my girls. They were incredibly cooperative especially after having been in the car for so long. Mollie thoroughly enjoyed the review and declared that she wanted to do that when she gets big. It was great. The girls played some before bed. Saturday morning, the girls were in a parade. We thought the parade began at 10 am. However, Karen called about 8:40 and said that it started at 9 am. By the grace of God, we got all 3 of my girls, me and Tammy ready as well as Karen's mom and her baby James ready. We got in a spot toward the end of the parade route at 9 am. It ended up being a perfect place to stand. The girls had a great time catching candy from the parade participants and seeing their friends.
When we got back to the Luttrell's, everyone got a bath and the playing began. The girls played so hard and had the best time! It is such joy to watch Ellie spend time with her best friend Kasey. It is just easy for them. You would never know that they don't see/talk to each other every day. Karen rolled (with the help of me and Ta) Kasey & Haley's hair for the ball Saturday night. Ellie didn't want to be left out so I rolled it too. You should have seen the curls! The girls had a blast watching them on stage and getting to dance the waltz. We ate dinner at the high school as part of the ball, and the kids danced. We had a wonderful time. I have to admit I have a bit more confidence in myself now when it's just me and the girls. Now, I did have Tammy's help, but I had never been to a buffet-style dinner with just me and the kids. We all did great!
Annie, Mollie and Ellie waiting for the girls to come riding down the road on their float.
Karen, Tammy & Me - Friends are such a blessing!
