Finger update

After 5 days in a splint, Dr. Thompson gave Annie the all clear to heal on her own. He said the x-rays didn't show a break, but that in a child her size that didn't mean there wasn't a break. So, he let Annie's hand be free! She was super excited, but she spent several days favoring her hand and making sure that it was protected.

Look, Mama! It's free!

You can see the swelling and little curve in Annie's ring finger.

We went back to see Dr. Thompson two weeks after he took off the splint. He said Annie looked great and that the pain should go away in a few weeks.

Waiting to see Dr. Thompson. Annie had a great time playing with her baby.

If you ask Annie where her boo boo is, she immediately shows you her hand. For the most part, it has healed. However, it is still extremely tender if she falls on it or leans on it wrong. Hopefully, though it will heal perfectly! Annie has been such a trooper!
