Where'd the summer go?

It's hard to believe that as I type this we are about a week away from the first day of school. I have yet to be able to figure out where the summer went. At the start of the summer, I was really excited that I would have more time to spend with the girls. It has ended up that I think we were just as busy, if not busier this summer than ever before. But, I think it is pretty safe to say that we have had a great time.

We've hung out with friends!

Ellie jumping on the trampoline at Mrs. Cherie and Mr. Craig's house.

Our Sunday School class and friends from church went to Cherie and Craig Carney's Memorial Day weekend. It was so fun to relax and visit while the kids played.

We swam!!

After our 2nd or 3rd trip to the pool, Annie decided that it was fun to play in the pool! Kelsey went with me whenever we went swimming. Having 3 kids in the water was just too much for me.
Mollie had fun. I think she just has fun wherever she is!

As always, Ellie was my little fish.

Annie learned to walk!

I have never, ever had one of my girls be as busy as Annie is! She is into everything and is afraid of absolutely nothing! It is amazing! She keeps us all on our toes, but she is so much fun!

Annie has tried everything she knows to do to be able to get into Mollie's room when the door is shut.

Then there were the days that the girls were just silly!

Annie LOVES when Papa bounces her on his knees.

Annie just hanging with Gidget - her favorite!

We celebrated Mom's birthday!

Mom's flourless chocolate birthday cake.

Ellie and Noah both decided to blow out the candles at the same time.

They finally decided to let Mom blow them out.

Mimi re-lighted them so that the little guys could blow them out.

We survived VBS!

I love VBS! It is an amazing week. This year our theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch. My amazing friend Lora is in charge of all the decorations, and I am her sidekick. Here's a little sampling of our work.

One of the doors leading into the Sanctuary and the check in for the 5th & 6th graders.

Lora's dad built us a wagon. It was amazing! We added the other touches. Don't you love the boots peeping out from the tent!

My kiddos survived VBS and were such troopers!
