Mollie had her party at FKDO on Thursday, Feb. 11. To be honest, I didn't even go down to her class. I'm a bad mom! I was busy making sure all the kids had good bags and the food for their parties.
Thursday night there was supposed to be a Daddy/Daughter thing at church. It was cancelled due to the ice on the roads. So, Brian took Ellie and Mollie to Purple Cow. They were so excited! I don't think they have a clue how special it is for them to spend time like that with their dad. They will some day.
Ellie's class had their party on Friday, Feb. 12. Ellie was super excited! We made a box for her Valentine's. She was thrilled with it. For her party, we made ice cream sundaes and the kids exchanged cards. It wasn't much, but I think they had fun. I have never seen her class so calm and relaxed. After they were finished with the party, the quietly went to "centers" and played. It was really nice.
Saturday night, Brian and I went out on a date. I hadn't realized until we were out that it was the first time we had been out without the kids since our anniversary! oops! That is way too long. We had a great time. We went to Osaka and ate on the Mongolian grill. We had some sushi too. After we ate, we ran to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. Very romantic, huh? ha! I enjoyed being out. Brian's parents like to keep the kids one evening around Valentine's. They took all 3 to Purple Cow. The kids love to eat there. After dinner, they went back to the Bennett's and worked on the annual Valentine's cake.
Sunday morning when the girls got up, it was time for presents!
