Our lives have been wild since my last post. I think it's pretty much the name of the game when you have 3 kids! Brian got home on his birthday (Sept. 16), left again the next week for a couple of days and was here until Monday when he left for Dallas. He has really been working hard.
Let's see if I can catch you up.
First, here's a fun picture of Ellie. She was in dance for a week or so. We have all decided that now is just not the best time for her to be in an extracurricular activity. For now, school and church are plenty.
The whole time Annie has been hanging out smiling and playing with her hands and her feet! :)
So, Brian got home on his birthday, and Mollie got sick on Thursday. That's when things began to go downhill! Mollie got sick on Thursday with a "throat virus" that turned into croup on Friday and into bronchitis on Monday. This was the first time in a long time that Mollie had been really, really sick.
Before she got to feeling really bad, Mollie got some "extensions" that were in the set that her Daddy bought her. It had a microphone, a inflatable guitar and a microphone headset. She loves it! Every Hannah Montana wanna be must have one!
The next night (Saturday), Brian's parents came over to help us officially celebrate Brian's birthday and watch the Auburn game. Brian's dad grilled pork chops, and I made Karen's ranch potatos, green bean casserole and brown & serve rolls. Brian was thrilled. B's mom got him a cookie cake from Great American Cookie. They are his favorite!
It's a tradition in my family that birthdays always last longer than one day. On Sunday (Sept. 20) during family lunch at my parents, we celebrated Brian's birthday. He chose an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins for dessert.
You may notice that Mollie wasn't at lunch with us. At this point, she was still running fever. We had to keep her home from the festivities so as not to spread her germs to everyone. Brian's parents kept her for us.
Mollie was diagnosed the following Tuesday with bronchitis and Ellie was diagnosed on Wednesday. I'm happy to report that after completing a z-pack each girl was back to normal very quickly!!
