Southern Boy in the Big Apple

My Alabama Man is in NYC! I honestly cannot believe that he is there! When he called me on his first day back to work after Annie was born to tell me that he was going to New York City for work, I told him that I didn't like him very much and that I was terribly jealous. I still am! I have wanted to go to New York City for a very long time. Who better to get to go than my better half! I called him about lunch time to make sure that he had gotten their OK. When he answered the phone, he was in a cab on 5th Avenue. What a life! I am so excited for Brian. I got to talk to him briefly tonight. He's having a blast. In case you are wondering, things are going great at work! Thank you for all of your prayers! Brian will be going to budget meetings at Madison Square Garden (what a meeting place!). He is working as an equipment engineer which is a huge praise. He'll start visiting his territory soon (Arlington, TX; Houston; Omaha; Indianapolis; Chicago and a couple of other places that I can't remember). He also has 2 training classes scheduled for July.

Brian did call me today while I was in Target. While I was arguing with Ellie that I wouldn't be "taking" her money from her if I took her $10 from her when we got home to help pay for a toy, I got this picture on my phone. Brian was in Time Square. Hmmmm. I think God's teaching me to rejoice in all things. :)

After he went to Time Square, he went to a Yankees game. The Yankees won, by the way. He said it was a great game. He sat in a sky box of sorts. He said it wasn't the full "in the middle of the crowd" experience, but it was fun. He was thrilled to get a hot dog. There's nothing like a hot dog from the ballpark!

While Brian was suffering in NYC, Mollie, Ellie and I headed to Wild River Country to play with the Segars and Haley and Kasey. The girls had a great time. We were so tired when we got home! Ellie fell asleep on the couch. Mollie stayed awake and sat with me while I fed Annie. Fortunately, all three girls are tucked into bed. I have to admit that I'm not too far behind!

By the way, I have to share one more thing. One of the best things to happen with the addition of Annie to our family is that Brian and I now work better as a team than we ever have. It has been amazing. I rely on him so much to help me with little things like getting bottles made for the day, holding Annie while I do anything. He has been such a great help. Plus, I've enjoyed knowing that I have him here and that I can rely on him. I am terribly independent, but I have become very dependent on B. This week, I shall hold down the fort and be Wonder Woman. :)
