Last Friday, Dec. 5, Ellie's class got to ride the school bus (a very big deal in the K4 world) to a local Wal-Mart to deliver toys for Stuff the Sleigh. Stuff the Sleigh is a non-profit organization that collects toys for Christmas presents for Arkansas Foster Children. The organization was begun by Alicen and Jason Bennett, Mrs. Law's daughter & son-in-law. The kids in the K4-1st grade at ABSS collected 265 toys for Stuff the Sleigh.
Three of the K4 classes went to Wal-Mart last Friday to deliver the toys and to be on Channel 11's morning program. The kids were thrilled and waved at the camera at the perfect time while Tom Brannon did his weather report. The kids thought it was great! We also had some of the senior girls there dressed as Elves. It was a great but very cold morning! 30 degrees!!
